A full interior renovation that transformed a dated worship space into a modern, acoustically-tuned environment built for weekly services, live music, and community events.
Redemption Hills needed a worship environment that could support a full live band, clear spoken-word delivery, and flexible lighting for different service styles. The existing space had poor acoustics, outdated finishes, and a stage that was not structurally suited for the equipment loads the worship team required. The lobby and bathrooms also needed to be brought up to current standards and ADA compliance.
The congregation needed the renovation completed between service seasons so they could return to the space without an extended closure. Every week of delay meant renting alternative venues.
We started with the stage because it drove the most downstream decisions. The structural reinforcement had to support the full weight of speakers, monitors, drum risers, and lighting rigs. Getting that right first meant the AV contractor could begin wiring immediately after framing.
Acoustic treatment was coordinated with the sound engineer to target specific frequency ranges that were causing issues with live vocals and instruments. Panels were placed based on acoustic modeling, not aesthetics alone. The lighting system was designed for versatility: bright house lights for community events, warm tones for worship, and full theatrical capability for special services.
The lobby and bathrooms were renovated in parallel so the full interior was ready as one cohesive delivery. The congregation returned to a space that looked, sounded, and felt completely different.
